Job Summary:Â Under administrative direction; ensures the safety and protection of the University community, property, and assets; manages departmental administrative responsibilities, including payroll, communications, planning, policy development, and updates, budgets, and equipment and supply purchases; directs and supervises in-service training and testing of employees, development of new technologies, and crime prevention programs for the University.
Manages administrative duties; oversees payroll and communication functions to include alarm systems and dispatching calls for service; develops and updates departmental policies and procedures, job descriptions, telecommunication technologies, and alarm and video monitoring; manages testing programs.
Administers budget process for equipment, uniforms, and supply purchases; coordinates in-service training; manages crime prevention programs, including seminars for faculty, staff, and students; performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelors degree or at least ten (10) years of relative law enforcement experience; with at least five (5) years being in a supervisory capacity.Â Security officer license and class E license are required.Â Â Requires passing psychological screening and drug screening upon hire and throughout employment.
